Leonard Clifton Kirkland Jr., age 76, of Cleveland passed away on Friday, July 27th, 2018 at St. Vincent's Blount Hospital. Mr. Kirkland was an avid Alabama football fan and Jeff Gordon fan. He enjoyed traveling and loved to watch westerns on TV. Mr. Kirkland was named Alabama Natural Gas Man of the Year.

Mr. Kirkland will be forever remembered by his sons Marty Kirkland, Steven (Amie) Kirkland; brothers Billy (Carolyn) Kirkland, Ray Kirkland, J.R. Kirkland; sister Cathy (Greg) Gower; numerous nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Thelma Kirkland, Sr.; and his wife Willie Sue Shelley Kirkland.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Sunday, July 29th, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Bro. Ray Latham and Bro. David Lenski will officiate services on Monday, July 30th, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Dailey's Chapel Cemetery in Rosa, Alabama.
