Obituary for Walton Elmon "Doc" Posey

Walton (Doc) Posey, age 69, of Nectar passed away on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at St. Vincent's East. Mr. Posey enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He loved farming and taking care of his cows. Mr. Posey was previously employed with Massey Hauling as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include wife Anita Kaye Posey; daughters Michelle (Jeff) Posey Hawkins, Tracy (Robert) Holladay; step sons Terry McCombs, Barry McCombs; sisters Dana (Willie) Posey Branham. Deborah (Jimmy) Posey Miller; grandson Stephen Dwayne Walker; and 2 step granddaughters Shaina Lynn McCombs, Lauren Elizabeth McCombs. He is preceded in death by his parents Dan and Ada Posey.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following on Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.

Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
