Obituary for J. T. Sherbet

Mr. J. T. Sherbet, age 72, of Locust Fork passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Sherbet was a barber in the area for over 58 years. He was a Mason with Locust Fork Masonic Lodge #481. He enjoyed being on his tractor, farming and gardening. Mr. Sherbet loved to fish and hunt in his spare time.

Survivors include wife Dora Ann Smith-Sherbet; sons James (Belinda) Sherbet, Carl (Brenda) Sherbet, Terry Wayne "Duck" (Sally) Sherbet; brother Alton (Helen) Sherbet; sister Rena` (Eddie) Brazeel; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Mr. Sherbet was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Maggie Henderson Sherbet; brothers Calvin, Jim, Horace, and Lewis Sherbet; sister Willa Faye Sherbet.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Monday, July 24th, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be officated by Bro. Joseph Coin and Ronnie Branham on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Dailey's Chapel Cemetery in Oneonta, Alabama. Pallbearers to be Josh Givens, Nathan Sherbet, David Sherbet, Terry "Duck" Sherbet, Carl Sherbet, and Adam Thomas. Honorary pallbearer Brandon Sherbet.

Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
