Obituary for Howard Dwaine Boatright

Mr. Howard Dewaine Boatright, age 73, of Oneonta previously of Locust Fork, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Boatright was a Sunday School teacher for many years at the Shoal Creek Baptist Church, where he was a member. After retiring from being a Quality Control Supervisor at Meadowcraft Inc., in Birmingham, he often ministered to many of the nursing homes in the area. He was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed playing golf.

Survivors include wife Judy Marsh Lewis Boatright; sons Mike (Lynn) Boatright, Tommy Washburn, Jamie (Wendy) Washburn; daughter Monica (Johnny) Cleveland; brothers Earl Boatright, Larry (Pam) Boatright; sister Barbara (Travis) Jolly; grandchildren Devin (Andrea) Boatright, Samantha Boatright, Trey Washburn, Jared Washburn, Connor Cleveland, Jackson Cleveland, Zoie Cleveland, Bentlie Cleveland; great grandchildren Sadie Joy Boatright, Harper Kay Boatright. Mr. Boatright is preceded in death by his parents Robert Ralph and Rosie Lee Boatright; brothers Rayburn Boatright, Bobby Boatright; and grandson Jeffrey Kiley.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Monday, July 17th, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following at 3:00 pm in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Garden City Cemetery in Hanceville, Alabama.
