Obituary for Roy Michael Woodard

Roy Michael Woodard, age 16, of Locust Fork passed away Friday, February 17th, 2017 at UAB Hospital. Roy Michael was a junior at Locust Fork High School where he enjoyed hanging out with his friend and attending the Blount County Technical School to become a welder. He enjoyed fishing and loved listening to all kinds of music. Roy Michael was a history nut, loving the history channel and having many debates with family and friends. He delighted in spending time with his family and adored his nieces.


Survivors include his Father Jason and Kim Woodard; Mother Jessica and Jeff Brice; Grandparents Judy Woodard, Roy Giddings, Lynn Giddings Davies, Peggy Dillard, Don and Karen Brice; Sisters Erica Jane Dillard, Hanna Giddings, Madison White, Kaley Menke; Uncles Jimmie Woodard, Shawn Dillard, Michael Franklin; Aunts Tawnya Compton, Tracy Faust, Britnee Perkins, Alisha Ruger; Nieces Karma Renea and Khloe Jane; nephew on way Kasen Maverick and an abundance of friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Ottis Woodard and Mike Dillard.

The family will receive friends at the Easley Baptist Church on Monday, February 20th, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at 12:00 pm in Easley Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Guins Cove Friendship Baptist Church #2 in Hayden, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Locust Fork High School for suicide prevention in memory of Roy Michael.

Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
