Obituary for Margaret Ann Mason (Capps)

Mrs. Margaret (Capps) Mason, age 80, of Hueytown passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12th, 2017 at Saint Vincent's Main Hospital.

Survivors include son Jack and Tammy Mason; daughters Diana M. Horne, Angela D. Mason; grandchildren Keith Horne, Travis Horne, Billy Mason, Danielle Mason, Candice Mason, Korri Horne; great grandchildren Carmen Horne, Damon Horne, Kyla Horne, and Kaci Horne. She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Agnes Capps; husband William Jackson Mason, Sr.; brothers Eugene Beal Capps, Bobby Capps, Jerry Capps, William Capps; sisters Lorene Jones, Glenndola Swann, and Connie McElroy.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, January 16th, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Bethlehem Cemetery, with burial to follow.


A homemaker by trade Mrs. Mason was a member of Navy Wives for 21 years during her husband's Naval Military Service. She enjoyed making ceramics and shopping at thrift stores and loved to dote on her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
