Obituary for Jackey Dale Gaither

Jackey Dale Gaither Sr., age 69, of Mount Olive passed away Sunday, December 25th, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. Mr. Gaither was a Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include sons Charles (Tammy) Smith, Rodney Smith, Jackey Dale Gaither Jr.; daughter Demetria (Chris) Turner; brother Bobby Gaither; sisters Vera Mae Thomas, Bonnie Laney; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents William Clifton and Edna Gaither; wife Glenda Renee Gaither; son Jeffery Dean Gaither; brother Tommy Gaither; sisters Betty Jo Palmero, Ilene Crawford, Sharon Privette, and Dean Abbott.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Friday, December 30th, 2016 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following Friday, December 30th, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at Bethlehem Cemetery in Trafford, Alabama.

Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
