Obituary for Jerry Lynn Grigsby

Jerry L.Grigsby age 67, of Oneonta passed away Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at St. Vincent's East.

Survivors include Mother: Mary Frances Grigsby, who lives at the Magnolia House in Oneonta Son: Anthony & (Shastanie) Grigsby, Oneonta, Sister: Darnell Whited ,Oneonta, Grandchildren: Kallie, Holly & Allie Grigsby. . Nephew: Bart Rainey, Oneonta and loving family, Norma Collier, Villa Whited, Charlotte Johnson and Valerie Redman. He was preceded in death by his Father: Odell Curtis Grigsby

The family will receive friends at Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home, 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Westside Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleveland , AL

Mr.Grigsby was self employed as a Musician.

He loved Music, played guitar, banjo, fiddle & dulcimer. Played in the "invaders" band as a young man and traveled the country playing his music until his health restricted his life.He is remembered as "Thundercloud" by some older residents of Cleveland. He played quitar and banjo with enthusiasm, loved country music and Native American flute music. Jerry was very talented in wood working.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Blount Co/Cleveland Funeral Home, Cleveland with burial in the West Side Baptist Church Cemetery beside his father, Odell Grigsby..
