Obituary for Betty Jean Jett (Nix)

Betty Jean Nix Jett age 85, of Locust Fork passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 at her residence.

Survivors include Husband Roderick Jett, Son Jerry (Kelley) Jett, Daughters Charlotte (Eric) Elliott, Deanna (Dean) Warren, Sisters Lottie (Hoyt) Wine, Earlene "Cooter" Blackwood, Grandchildren Jay Freeman (Becca), Kim Harvey, Brian Graves, Blake Graves, Brooks Jett, Laura Massey (Ben), Jarrod Weaver, Blane Jett, Preston Williams, Heith Williams, Aaron Williams, Hannah Warren, Claire Williams & Jacob Warren. Mrs. Jett was preceded in death by her Parents James Henry Nix and Mamie Bullard Nix, Daughter Marla Freeman, Brothers Aaron Nix and Jimmie Nix, and Grandchild Chris Freeman.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Highway 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 - 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 - 11:00 am at Edgewood Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Locust Fork , Alabama . She will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.

Mrs.Jett worked many years at Blue Bell as a Inspector. She also worked at Hancock Fabrics and Walmart.

Mrs.Jett enjoyed sewing, crochet and knitting. She loved her flowers and gardening. The family witnessed her being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
