Obituary for Charles Ray Richey

Charles Ray Richey, age 64, of Trafford passed away Monday, December 21st, 2015 at his residence.

Survivors include mother Martha Davis Richey Holt, stepfather Chester Holt, daughter Julia (Ronny) Thrift, brother Jesse Neal (Sylvia) Richey, sister Deborah (Ronnie) Graves, sister-in-law Norma Richey, grandchildren Abigail Collar, Cheyenne Palmer, Auston Richey, Ali Richey, Cheryl Richey, Sydnie Richey, Owen Thrift. He is preceded in death by his father Auston Richey, son Joshua Ray Richey, daughter Elizabeth Jean Richey, and brother Bobby Joe Richey.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Highway 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 pm in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama.


Mr. Richey loved playing and singing music; especially his guitar, he enjoyed fishing and was a handy craftsman. He was a steel fitter in the fabrication business for many years.
